- Three medium intensity red aircraft warning lights, red flashing 2000cd±25%, are placed on top of cathead, jib and counter-jib for a fixed jib tower crane. For a luffing jib tower crane, two medium intensity beacons are placed on top of luffing jib and counter-jib, respectively. With built-in GPS modules, medium intensity lights can flash synchronously.
- If the tower crane is outside a building, additional 2-4 units of medium intensity red beacons on middle level of the tower crane, red steady or flashing 2000cd+25% at nighttime; additional 2-4 low intensity single obstruction lights on ¼ and ¾ height level, red steady>32.5cd at nighttime. If the tower crane is inside a building,  intermediate level lights are not required.
